Interesting Historic image Marc (also a great shot contrasting the round and the angular). Late sixties? I met with refugees from Beirut ...such a wonderful cultural city before the war...they told me you can surf in the morning and snow ski in the afternoon...true? l/f

INSIGHT | Beirut Holiday Inn and Phoenicia Intercon a couple years before they were almost totally destroyed by savage fighting. Since then, Phoenicia has been totally brought back to life, while Holiday Inn and its giant scars remains an eerie ghost, silent witness of Lebanon�s darkest times.

So many beautiful things around us, fleeting moments which too often remain unnoticed. They are looking at us, watching us, calling us silently, hoping to be noticed, remembered, and maybe immortalized with a photograph. Professional photographer in Lebanon and the US since 1972, and photography professor at the American University of Beirut from 1997 to 2020, I have always made it a point to find time to create my very own images, looking, seeing, appreciating, and dwelling in the scene, trying to bring out and share the essence of what I see through the viewfinder, which I love to call “My Magic Window”.
