Insight | This natural light portrait of Dominique, taken in 1972 in Beirut, represents for me the quintessence of the sophisticated hippie fashion of the early 70s. Dominique was seated in the shade, against a white ivy-covered wall, the beautiful light coming from the mid-day sunlight bouncing off a small white wall behind me, on the left. I achieved the softening effect by placing small strips of scotch tape on selected parts of a UV filter mounted on the lens.
