Walking along river Seine, Paris in 1969, I saw these 3 gravel barges parked side by side. I was drawn by the neutral-toned wavelike gravel design beautifully contrasting with the yellow and brown of the heavy steel. The image was shot on an early Kodachrome II transparency film with my first cam, a Pentax Spotmatic and its standard 55mm f/1.8 lens.
