Artist's Description
This image, part of a commissioned series for the Beiteddine Music Festival, Lebanon catalog was captured on film back in 1997. For this project I thought of matching, in tight close-ups, the musical instruments design with that of the 19th century architecture of the Beiteddine Palace. Staying as close as possible to my minimalist approach, I was particularly attracted by the contrast of the cold marble against the warm wood of the instrument, and the guitar�s and marble column�s matching curves, as well as the overall neutral color palette.
